LAHORE: Muhammad Waseem, the brother of social media sensation Qandeel Baloch who confessed to killing her, on Friday revealed the names of his accomplices in the murder.
According to details, Waseem, who had been transferred from Multan to Lahore for a polygraph and DNA test, disclosed that he had planned the murder of his sister Qandeel Baloch with his relative Haq Nawaz.
Waseem further revealed that at the time of Qandeel’s murder, Haq Nawaz was inside the house with him while another relative Basit was waiting outside for them in a car, at a few distance away from the house. After committing his sister’s murder, Waseem stated that he and Haq Nawaz had managed to flee in the car with Basit.
In a separate development, police also took into custody two sister-in-laws of Qandeel Baloch from Dera Ghazi Khan. Police have included the slain model’s sister-in-laws in her murder investigation as well.
Qandeel Baloch was found dead in her Multan home on July 15. Her brother Muhammad Waseem confessed to killing her for ‘honour’ and also said that he had no regrets over killing her.
The slain model and social media personality was often criticised by a section of the society who were against her bold Facebook posts while others hailed her for breaking social taboos in the country.
Qandeel Baloch’s funeral prayers were offered in Dera Ghazi Khan where she was also laid to rest last Sunday.
