LAHORE: Pakistan has remitted a whopping $15 billion to India during 40 months of Pakistan Mulism League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s government tenure, Tehlka TV reported.
According to World Bank report Pakistan remitted $4.7 billion to India in 2014-15, while in 2015-16 Pakistan remitted $4.9 billion to India in account of foreign exchange. As per report Pakistan remitted about $5 billion to India annually.
Quoting a World Bank report , that Pakistan was the 5th biggest country sending $4.7 billion remittances to India in 2014-15 while Pakistan become 4th largest country sending $4.9 billion remittance to India in 2015-16.
In this regard, senior investigative journalist Asad Kharal said that it was appalling that the central bank had remained oblivious to the huge remittances being made to India during PM Nawaz regime. He said that the State Agencies and the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) should investigate who were the people who made such huge remittances to enemy country India.
