KARACHI: As part of its plan of facilitating commemorative meetings and processions on the occasion of Muharram-ul-Haram, Karachi-Electric (KE) has decided that there will be no load-shedding at major locations of Muharram Majalis.
An official said on Monday that during the Muharram, KE’s team would remain on standby round the clock for the convenience of public. The four Regional Command Centers are fully functional and the city’s power supply is being monitored 24/7.
“KE will be working in close coordination with the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners to provide facilities to the consumers,” KE’s spokesperson remarked. The consumers have been requested to inform the utility in case of any complaints by calling on 118 or 021-99000 and via SMS to 8119 or through KE’s digital platforms.
