ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing of the case regarding death of more than 90 heart patients under treatment at the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) on account of spurious drugs for two weeks.
The three-member bench headed by Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Maqbool Baqar and Justice Khlji Arif Hussain heard the suo moto notice case. During course of proceedings, the federation and the province submitted details regarding private medical colleges.
The court expressed annoyance over non-submission of reports by the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces. The court directed the provinces to submit reports and adjourned hearing of the case.
